If you think about the weather in March, the expression above makes sense. Remember, the first day of March was a little bit snowy and rainy? On Tuesday's writing night, think carefully about what this expression might mean and write a blog comment on a piece of paper. Be sure to edit your work and fix any mistakes in your writing.
Then on the second writing night of homework, Wednesday, visit this blog again and submit your response carefully...please proofread and check for mistakes in your typing before you submit. We will not approve comments that have too many mistakes! :)
If for some reason you cannot complete this at home, time will be provided on Friday morning during "Choice Time" for you to do this in class.

Coming in like a lion means to have bad weather in the start of the month like snowstorms, rain clouds, and strong wind gusts. Going out like a lamb means to have good weather like sunny days and soft breezes.

The beginning of March is very cold like a fierce lion. At the end of March it starts to get warmer which means spring is coming.

I think March comes roaring in like a lion with fierce winds and cold weather and happily out like a lamb with warm sunny gentle days.

March comes in like a lion is because it is just ending winter which can be fierce like a lion. At the end of March it goes out like a lamb because it is spring meaning soft like a gentle lamb.

The expression might mean that the weather comes in wild like a lion because it could be snowing and windy the first day of March and sunny and raning the next day. At the end of March the weather can be like a lamb. The weather is calm even though it could still be raining.

I think the people who wrote the expression thought that the month of March starts off cold, windy, snowy, nasty, scary and ferocious, just like lions. Also the end of March is like a lamb because its gentle, warm and sweet, just like spring.

On the first day of March it was a snowy, cold, and rainy. I think that this is what is meant by the roaring lion. Since then, the weather has been milder and no snowfall recorded. On the weather channel, the forecast shows a warming of the weather temperatures. This must be what is meant by the lamb.

I think this is how March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. It is because the weather is snowy, misty and harsh like a lion. This is what a lamb is-sunny warm or beautiful.Lambs are gentle and soft.I love March!

The expression March goes in like a lion and out like a lamb means the weather at the beginning of March is harsh and cold. At the end it's nice, sunny, and warm. That's why the weather in March is strange, exciting and awkward at times. I think March is rad!

To go in like a lion and out like a lamb means the lion means very windy and cold and rainy and mushy. The lamb means warm and hot and sunny and refreshing and cool.

I think that the saying is because of the weather. When March starts it has cold weather and it is windy. It sounds like a lion. Towards the end of March there is nice weather like a calm and quiet lamb.

It comes in like a lion in March because March starts with storms and
rain. It comes out like a lamb because the weather gets better and you see flowers.
